The Team:
What do you mean we don't get paid? |
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
Write for a gaming website amid the hundreds that already exsist. That's the task these guys agreed to, and they don't get paid a penny. In fact if anything they're losing money keeping the site alive. That's the dedication we're talking here, so just who are these idio...people? |

Christopher Bews
Designer
Former, and probably still a Sega zealot, Chris proudly carries the resulting bruising. The one responsible (again) for the pink on the site, with the motto, "If you don't like it, visit one of the zillions of blue sites. We're here to be different." We have no doubt Chris is different. |

Dave Jesteadt
Staff Writer
If you've read Gamenikki for more than two months, you remember Dave. He used to wear sunglasses all the time and go by the name of "Boss Man". Since giving up the editorship to pursue an education in sunny New York City, an excess of free time calls Dave back to the front lines as a contributor. |

Josh Allen
Editor-in-Chief
No longer the trained assistant monkey, Josh now runs the whole shebang with Jared's able assistance....dear God, what have we done? |

 |
Jonathan Point-du-Jour
Senior Writer
Jon has been a mainstay on the site, keeping Gamenikki 'real' since joined more than a year ago. Hailing from the tough streets of New York City, merely walking the streets with his 'TEH BANG BANG' drumsticks is enough to scare anyone. |

 |
Jared Goodwin
Assistant editor
Jared is a reformed fanboy, having come to terms with reality. Now he just dishes out the reviews, covering all the bad games so you don't have to play them. Just remember, 5 is average. |

Jason Frothingham
Staff Writer
Jason balances his time behind the site, doing primarily PC and PS2 reviews, and his job as tech support guy for a major ISP. Be sure to call him up and bug him! |

| The History of Gamenikki: Study up, there'll be a quiz later. |
| Gamenikki was founded in April 2001, after Chris Bews and Grant Potter finished their rounds at Sega X, a previous site. Right from the start, Gamenikki had its identifiable pink color scheme that makes a return in this newest design of the site. This new build is the latest in what seems to be a yearly design change of the site, but this time it’s a complete overhaul behind the scenes as well as a new look. Now the engine powering Gamenikki is the most powerful available for such projects, and we don’t foresee having to change the site any time soon. Gamenikki prides itself on accepting no paid advertising; it is a completely donation-funded site, and these donations usually come out of the pockets of staff members. We pay for it because Gamenikki is more than just a ‘game review site’, it’s a place to voice opinions and post the results of the writing we love to do. We take great pride in being banner-free in this day and age (not to mention the increasing intensity that online ads have reached in attempts to get noticed), and we hope you like the site, which was conceived as an old-fashioned throwback to solid design, no ads and quality writing. Enjoy. |
